We Know that Hard disk is one of the main component which can store huge amount of data Like Movies, Games,Photo,Songs .etc what ever the thing we like to save . The files are Stored in the Hard disk in a such a way that we can access it any time we want it is called file indexing method. the files stored in the Hard disk is get corrupted when if there is any Hard disk failure or Power failure. When we working on PC then system crashes or hangs by this we loss the important data we want.

Corrupted Files : Sometime when we turn on PC the system fails to boot the OS properly. The reason behind this is OS become corrupted due to the power failure , Accidently stopping the running program. all this can make file corrupted on your Hard disk.
Solution : Always shutdown the programs in correct manner. Replace the power cable of the CPU if it is old and bad. Avoid installing the malicious software or unknow programs , use CCleaner it is the PC optimization and cleaning tool. to remove junk file from Hard disk .
Virus attack : Virus attack the major issue faced by the users. also it the major problem for Hard disk. Virus spread easily on HDD . if you are connect across the network the virus will spread through the network also using the USB devices Like Pendrive , Portable HDD virus spread easily.
Solution : I Recommend you to backup you important files to Cloud Online Storage like Google Drive, One drive, Dropbox ..etc. Also Update your antivirus regularly so that control virus attack. Use antivirus like Avast,Avira,..Etc . these are the top free antivirus. when you are connecting your USB device it is recommended to Scan the files in it before opening.
BIOS fail to detect HDD : Sometimes when we turn on the computer there is a message appears "Reboot and Select the boot device correctly " . This Problems mainly due to the Problem with the HDD IDE or SATA cables used to connect the HDD to motherboard is damaged or HDD not getting the correct power from the SMPS or Problem with the Motherboard BIOS.
Solution : it is recommended to Replace the IDE or SATA Cable used to connect the HDD to Motherboard . Check the Power from the SMPS to the HDD is correct or not or Update the BIOS of the motherboard with the latest one if you are not familire with it don't try to update the motherboard BIOS , ( in this blog you can find how to Update the BIOS. ) .
Hard disk become Slows down : We are the Using the computer for watching movies, playing games, web browsing , playing music. we store lots of stuff in the Hard disk the things we like the most. after a while the Hardisk become a lot more slower when opening the files . the problem is that there is lots of fragment file which is scatterd on hardisk .
Solution : It is recommended to Defragment your HDD with the Windows Default Fragment tool .Disk Defragmenter . Below is the screenshot taken from windows 7.
