Sometimes the operating system get freeze and show message "Windows not Responding ". it occur due to the High CPU usage (100%) or too much application opens in background , eg : Windows media player , Notepad , Microsoft word , adobe Photoshop running at same time windows will hang or freeze if you have low memory (Ram) or (CPU) , if you hardware configuration is good and capable of running these application at same time windows will not freeze or hang . some applications won't close when we press the close button on the program and suddenly it Freeze , if you are facing these types of problems your are still not sure about whether operating system freeze . press the Num Lock key in the keyboard (can be found above the numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard .if the Num lock light above key does not goes on or of , then your operating system definitely hangs.

- End Task
- Switch to
- New Task
You can End the Following process or the application By pressing the End button or you can switch to another application that is running background By pressing Switch to button, or even you can open new task or program by pressing new task. For ending the program Select the program that you want to stop click on it and then click on end task ..!! Done . check out the below image .
Note : before ending a task you need to save your work , otherwise it will lost.
